Long-standing Shoulder Injury
I have known Trevor Charles for two years as a friend. Over this period Trevor has mentioned a couple of times an interest in psychic healing. I tended to listen but not offer any opinions as I felt such things to be fanciful and not something I had any interest in.
Prior to a game of golf I mentioned to Trevor that I had a long-standing shoulder injury and that I would find playing that day difficult. He offered to have a look at the shoulder and explained that he would only touch the area concerned. I made an excuse and I played golf, badly and in some discomfort.
Some weeks later I was still complaining about the shoulder, which I had again wrenched while trying to manage an angry child (I work in a school for emotionally disturbed youngsters). Trevor again said that he may be able to help, so persuaded by my partner, I gave in and let Trevor 'hold /put his hand to' my shoulder. The experience was very strange and not at all what I expected. Instead of this being a total non-event it was marked by a great deal of heat from Trevor's hand and after say thirty seconds, a tingling that became a growing numbness spreading up my arm from my fingers.
After Trevor removed his hand the sensations remained for some minutes. After this experience my scepticism was dented significantly, because regardless of whether or not my shoulder improved, I could not explain the heat or the tingling sensation. After a few days I noticed that the shoulder was improving and the following week I played golf pain free. The shoulder that has had physiotherapy and acupuncture over a long period with little positive effect was now much better.
Trevor's "laying on of hands" has not cured what is a mechanical problem but it has made it barely noticeable. What to me is most remarkable about my shoulder is now when I pull, hit, or over extend it, within two to three days it has settled down to a pain free state, whereas before I would be looking at three to four weeks of rubbing in various preparations to ease the pain.
To conclude, I have moved from one who would use conventional and Chinese medicine because they have a pedigree to now employing psychic healing as part of my "keep healthy armoury."
